About
AHIR SHAH is one of the fastest-rising stand ups of his generation. Mock The Week, Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, Frankie Boyle's New World Order, The Now Show, Stand Up Central and the Mash Report are just a few of his TV credits.
In 2017 and 2018 his shows CONTROL and DUFFER were nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe, and in 2019 Ahir recorded an HBOMax special of his show DOTS at a packed out London Vaudeville Theatre. He has toured all over the UK and internationally with his blend of sharp, hilarious and brilliantly crafted brand of funny.
'Intricately crafted, profoundly moving, howlingly funny...he is a blazing talent firing on all cylinders' (The Daily Telegraph)
'...a highly personal howl from this sharpest of operators.' (The Mail on Sunday)
'Rich emotional comedy.' (The Sunday Times)
'He finds both humour and poetry in his existential angst.' (The Guardian)
Join us as we welcome Ahir to our friendly little room at The Confessional and make sure you grab your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
Supporting:
Opening on the night is the rather excellent CHRIS CHOPPING!
BBC Sesh regular, Welsh Unsigned Stand Up Awards finalist, and star of S4Cs comedy showcase Gwerthu Allan, Chris is one of the finest acts on the circuit. His writing and delivery are pin sharp and we can't wait for you to meet him at the Confessional!
'A really good comic. Tremendously clever in both his delivery and subject matter.' Metro
'Chris is brilliant. Sharp writing with an undercurrent of silliness.' XS Malarkey
'gorgeously crafted routines and so wonderfully funny.' Jordan Brookes
'He makes this comedy lark look easy.' South Wales Echo
In the middle is the brilliant ELERI MORGAN!
Aberystwyth-born, Cardiff-based Eleri has written for the likes of Have I Got News For You and has starred in countless BBC Sesh videos, as well as improvised sitcom The Tourist Trap, and Hinterland. As a stand-up she is flying right now! Funny, quirky and just a little bit manic, she is 'a force of nature and a full-throttled idiot.' (Logan Murray).
